We recently were fortunate to have Shelley & Gary Elliott as brokers for the sale of our home in Bluffton. In addition to being extremely personable, Shelley & Gary possess superior knowledge of the housing market in the area. They were also recommended by our neighbor. Once we signed on with them, professional photos of our home were taken and presented to us. There was constant communication from them by email, phone, and texts. We had moved up north and they arranged every service, hired the best workers and best of all they sold our home in less than Five Days!

I was moving to combine two homes, and she arranged for an auction company to sell things that I wouldn’t need, a company to remove things not worth selling, and a contractor to make minor repairs. I want to thank Shelley and Gary Elliott for listing and selling my property. I spent the whole time in my easy chair while they did all the work. The phone calls to sell my furnishings that I was not taking with me. Setting up the mover to come and take my possessions to my new residence. They even contacted the people where I’m going to find out if everything was in place so that there would not be any hiccups. They arranged to have some ladies come in and pack up all my belongings that I was taking with me. Again, I spent my whole time in my easy chair.
We recently listed our vacation rental condo with Shelley and Gary, and it was a fantastic experience! We were kicking around the idea for a while and decided to test the water since it seemed like prices might have been going up and we figured we would see what happens. We talked to Shelley and Gary a bunch as we were deciding whether to list the unit or not, and they were incredibly helpful with all the information that they provided. Through that whole process we felt like they just wanted us to do what was best for us and we didn’t feel any pressure at all to list it now as opposed to waiting. Shelley and Gary just gave us the facts with regard to current and recent listings and sales and stood behind us no matter what we decided. Totally generous with their time, knowledge, and network. We have so enjoyed our experience working with Shelley and Gary. From the time of our very first meeting until today (over one year later!), they have been totally generous with their time, knowledge, and network. When we first started working together Shelley and Gary spent hours and hours with us showing residences in many Hilton Head communities and throughout Bluffton. They were always patient, and we never felt rushed as we scoured the area looking for the right community for us. They demonstrated extensive knowledge of the area’s communities, pointing out what might be pros and cons for us for each area. They seemed to be able to answer every question that we had; and if they were unsure about something they said so and later came back with answers. No BS here! After spending days with them spread out over a couple of months, we finally decided to build a new home in Sun City. Their intimate knowledge of the Del Webb/Pulte Builder’s sales process came through and helped us prepare for each step along the way. From there, they were with us shoulder-to-shoulder as we went through the yearlong building process. Until we relocated to the Bluffton area, Shelley and Gary sent us weekly videos of our house being built and kept us appraised of what to expect next. This proved to be invaluable as we could more precisely communicate with out construction manager while we were still in Connecticut. Once we moved to this area and during the final months of the construction process, Shelley and Gary were 100% available for us. When we needed referrals for virtually anything from pool companies to attorneys to insurance providers, salons, and more… they could always give us multiple options to explore. Their network is extensive, and we found the folks they refer are high quality. Now that we’ve closed, they are still with us. Answering questions, providing referrals, and joining us during the official closing and celebration. They are a wonderful team. We recently relocated from MA to Sun City SC and were lucky enough to have found Gary and Shelley Elliott to represent us as our realtors. Shelley and Gary were nothing but the utmost professional individuals from the moment we were introduced to them. We were referred to them through another agent with no first-hand knowledge of their track record. We could not have gotten any luckier, especially since we were purchasing through a builder and almost decided not to use an agent. Shelley and Gary were patient, consultative and two people we could rely on through an extremely unpleasant homebuilding experience. They remained a calming force when we were issued threats of contract cancellation by the builder (when the builder’s own incompetency caused delays and/or issues) to continued shared disappointment and empathy in a process that conversations often included “We’ve never seen/dealt with anything like this”. Then, we had an incredibly difficult seller who created conflict all along the way including unethical acts. Shelley and Gary stuck with us and pushed the selling agent to minimize the conflict and get our condo to closing. No matter the time of day they were “on it”. They are extremely helpful for a long-distance buyer (we did this via facetime as we are in Atlanta) and we cannot thank them and recommend them highly enough. I have known Shelley for years as she was a neighbor of mine in Marietta, GA. My husband and I had been playing around with the idea of an investment property on HHI. I contacted Shelley and she signed me up to see all sold, currently for sale and under contract properties in the 5 resorts that we were interested in on the MLS. I got daily updates, and this helped me understand each property, what current prices are and what amenities they offer. I called looking for a condo for my second cousin Austin from Ohio, and fortunately for me, Shelley Elliott answered the phone and entered my life.
